Twizel Salmon & Wine Festival

-

THIS year marks the 16th Twizel Salmon & Wine Festival — and it’s bigger and better than ever!

Originally conceived to celebrate the area, the Twizel Salmon & Wine Festival for 2021 is building on the success of 2019’s hugely popular event. And after the year we’ve all had we all deserve a big day out!

As always, the combination of boutique wines, craft beers, and delicious local salmon makes this festival unique in New Zealand. Alongside these will be a variety of food vendors with an array of tasty treats to satisfy everyone’s appetite. The festival will again be hosted at the rowing complex on stunning Lake Ruataniwha, giving patrons a worldclass view while they enjoy their family day in the Twizel sun.

The festival is also running free shuttles to and from Twizel’s Market Place all day long, and there will be a bus running from Wanaka and Oamaru return for only $15 to make sure everyone can tick the Twizel Salmon & Wine Festival off their todo list.

Presale tickets are available from 1st December through Eventfinda for $20. Buy your ticket early online and go in the draw to win either a scenic flight for two with Mt Cook Helicopter Line, or a skydive package with Skydive Mt Cook. Gate sales will be available on the day for $25. Both ticket prices include the free festival shuttle throughout the day to and from Twizel Market Place, and a festival souvenir glass. Children under 16 enter for free when accompanied by an adult.

Make sure you mark this day on your calendar and book your accommodation early. The 16th annual Twizel Salmon & Wine Festival: Saturday February 27, 2021, 11am5pm, at the Lake Ruataniwha Rowing Complex.
