WELCOME TO THIS ISSUE
SEVEN OF THE SEASON’S winter fashion highlights can all be seen in this photo of Kylie. New, sharp short modern hair, the understated eye, strong lip colour, the white shirt, the pussy- cat bow, ropes of pearls and the houndstooth jacket. This shows there is a gentle sense of retro peeking through for wardrobes but with a distinctly modern edge. This approach also applies to homewares so we have balanced our book with a smattering of beautiful examples from cushions to couches. Women who love clothes also share a healthy appreciation for changing their home from time to time: be it a new selection of cushions and candles to an update of room colour or reconfiguration of chairs and sofas. What counts though, in the pursuit of ensuring a balance to your styling, is the ability to take classic pieces then add a quirky unexpected item to prevent predictability. Example: In fashion styling our houndstooth coat has moved forward from the 90s, when a skirt or dress would have been the preferred co-ordinating option and is replaced today with the narrow pants and high heels or boots.
Feminine touches finish the look – Classic Blazer with Satin Trim, Short Microjersey Shirt and Basque Legging in Roma. Anton Side Table by Serax from Dawson & Co.
