TheEssentials collection of separates were the founding clothing items that formed the basis of the Paula Ryan collection 18 years ago. Simple tops in varying necklines and sleeve treatments, pants in full or narrow shapes and skirts too simple to define trend. All have been made in scientifically developed fabrics touched with Lycra for stretch and stability. Some 30 styles per season are available in black, white and sand, in New Zealand Merino, Italian Micromodal or Italian Microjersey. Additional colours are developed to coincide with colour trends and are available for one season only. Example: Stone, a colour for Winter 17 on the page opposite. The mantra is THE MAGIC IS IN THE FABRIC and each fabric has been tested and graded for colour fastness and durability by the D. S.I.R. Paula Ryan, the creative director behind the brand, is proud that her collection supports local manufacturing by being made in New Zealand. Paula has developed two main fits to accommodate varying body styles in women-an Easy Fit and a Slim Fit.
