Business night set in September
Join the Matamata-Piako District Council along with business people from across the district for a night of great food, networking, and entertainment featuring keynote speaker Teresa Gattung, former CEO of Telecom and co-founder of My Food Bag.
The 2016 Business Night Out is set to take place on Thursday September 1 at the Matamata Memorial Centre from 5.30pm and provides an opportunity to recognise the efforts and success of local businesses.
Nominations have now closed for the Gull Customer Service Award. The top four finalists will go to a public vote from Wednesday August 3 - Friday August 12.
This year the Bayleys Business Excellence Award is recognising top businesses in the district, with the winners receiving a $1500 Mediaworks radio advertising voucher.
Businesses are invited to put themselves forward and enter.
All entries of this award will be judged by a panel of business experts who will choose the finalists and one winner for each of the Te Aroha, Matamata and Morrinsville areas.
Nominations close on Wednesday August 3.
The keynote speaker is Teresa Gattung.
She worked in senior marketing roles at National Mutual and the Bank of New Zealand before taking up her role at Telecom (now Spark) New Zealand.
Gattung was the first woman to run a large New Zealand public company and lead them through world-changing technology developments. During her tenure as CEO Gattung led Telecom through worldchanging technology developments.
Ticket sales close on Monday August 15, if not sold out prior so get in quick. Last year’s tickets to the event were sold out with a crowd of almost 300 people attended last year’s district business awards.
Tickets are non-refundable, however you may arrange for transfer of your tickets.
