The Morrinsvil­le Fire Brigade was called to the blaze which was aided by a slight breeze.

About 100 bales of hay and an older tractor were completely destroyed in the fire, while a later model tractor suffered extensive damage.

Besides this incident, Morrinsvil­le Volunteer Fire Brigade chief fire officer Mr T.L Barlow said it was an unusually quiet time of the year for the brigade.
