New Year - new you!

Why not try something new for yourself this year.

Add some harmony, balance and blend to your life.

You’ve been singing in the shower long enough. Now’s your chance to take it to the stage! You could be singing with the Waikato Rivertones in Las Vegas later this year.

The Waikato Rivertones Chorus is a group of women who love to sing unaccompanied in fourpart harmony.

Women in Morrinsville and Te Aroha are invited to head along to the Waikato Rivertones Open Night on Monday, February 20 at 7pm in the Marian School Hall, Clyde St, Hamilton.

You’ll be mesmerised by the spine-tingling harmonies and will enjoy a sonic tonic that will leave you feeling uplifted and energised.

Co-directors Kate Sinclair and Lynn Jamieson assure you of a warm welcome and a friendly

learning environment with plenty of support and encouragement.

Current members range in age from 18 to 80 and from all over the Waikato including Morrinsville.

They learn a wide range of repertoire from soulful ballads to jazz and the latest pop hits. Don’t read sheet music? No problem. You will be able to learn by listening to MP3 learning tracks.

The Waikato Rivertones are members of Sweet Adelines International (SAI), a worldwide sisterhood of singers.

Being the current national Champion Chorus means they are eligible to represent New Zealand in Las Vegas, Nevada, in mid-October 2017 at the 71st SAI convention and competition to be held in the MGM Grand.

New members are encouraged to join now so they can have the opportunity to be a part of the build-up for this event which includes coaching from internationally-renowned vocal and showmanship tutors.
