Devilskin rocks back to Waikato

- MUSIC COMPETITION

Devilskin CD – Be Like The River: Performing at Altitude (R.18) Saturday, October 14.

If ever there was a local show guaranteed to sell out it is this one. Waikato fans of Hamilton’s own Devilskin are over the moon to hear that the internationally acclaimed rockers are returning for a much-anticipated local gig and we’ve got a copy of their latest album Be Like The River to prime you for the event.

It’s the second album they have released and, like it’s predecessor, the Platinum selling (over 15,000 copies) #1 We Rise, it too topped the charts at #1.

It contains great singles such as Mountains, Pray, Grave and Voices among its 13 stellar tracks

We Rise gave up the singles Little Pills, Never See The Light, Start A Revolution and Fade.

This announcement comes on the back of their 4th UK tour which included sold out gigs in Ireland and playing at the legendary Rock + Metal three-day festival, where, we are told

‘‘We've been working hard and have some new tunes and a few surprises.’’

by one exuberant fan, they played to a packed tent with an incendiary performance.

Devilskin are taking their live show to the next level.

The October tour will be the first gigs in New Zealand since the legendary tour earlier this year with Halestorm and the most recent gig being Rock the Park in Auckland playing to an estimated crowd of 14,000 people.

This time around you get to be up close and personal with the band in the intimate setting of one of Hamilton’s most iconic rock venues – the incomparable Altitude.

The band share: ‘‘we have thoroughly enjoyed our time overseas, but we have missed playing to our dear friends here in New Zealand.

‘‘We’ve been working hard and have some new tunes and a few surprises for you all that we can’t wait to unleash.’’

Formed in Hamilton in 2010, this four-piece rock band are bonded by blood; Paul (bass) and Nic (drums) are father and son, Jennie (vocals) is Nic’s Aunt and Paul’s sister in law, Nail (guitar) is Pauls evil twin.

Fans are a big and most welcome part of the Devilskin family.

Join them for the family reunion of the year.
