Hayley’s passion for music
Hayley Monaghan is 15 years old and enjoys all types of music.
At Hamilton Girls’ High School, she is involved with the school choir, barbershop chorus (lead) and barbershop quartet (tenor/lead).
She has had a great year winning the HGHS talent quest, finishing third in the HGHS/ HBHS joint talent quest, and she recently finished the season of the stage play Dracula where she was cast in a lead role playing Mina Murray.
Many of Morrinsville Country Music Club’s members went along to the show to support her and she is very thankful to them for making the effort.
Her love of music has evolved from listening to endless rock tunes in her dad’s courier van, to singing in the choir at primary school, and eventually joining club when she was 10.
She has had many opportunities to watch, learn and perform with some leading country artists.
Hayley is turning her sights towards pursuing a career in performing arts.
She is proud to be a part of Morrinsville Country Music Club and humbled by the chance to be the guest artist for October.
