STOP FOR BUSES

-

How many accidents will happen before it is realised that a centre passing lane will cause mayhem as the drivers on the coast are always in a hurry, or the elderly, in their little run-abouts, doing 30-40kms along the road, causing traffic to slow down and eventually stop as the slow speed of one car holds up the flow and at the end of the line comes to a halt too often.

Encouraging people to use public transport is good, but the line of traffic holds up the buses! So, Whangaparaoa drivers need to let buses out. Next time you see a bus trying to get out of a stop or crossing Whangaparaoa Rd from Brightside Rd (where buses wait quite a while) let the bus out.

Not only is it good for public transport, it keeps the bus service near to timetable times.

Go on drivers - give yourself a good feeling all over and let the buses merge like a zip. There’s a lot of people who live up here who don’t know what or how like a zip keeps traffic moving.
