CRASH VICTIM NAMED

Police have released the name of a man who died in a north Auckland crash on Wednesday. He was 22-year-old Gavin Sidney Pengelly of Helensville. Pengelly died after his car collided with a bridge in Kahikatea Flat Rd, Kaukapakapa. A death notice described him as a ‘‘precious son . . . cool uncle and loved nephew’’. His funeral will be held on February 22 in Orewa.
