It’s the kind of exposuremo­stsmall brands could only dreamof— a global megastar, pushing hernew baby, in a newmusic video, all while wearing your label.

Andfor Kiwi brand Cadenshae, the shock is still setting in after

Katy Perry wore an entire outfit from the Northland brand in her music videonot Theendofth­e World. Perry can be seen pushing a stroller while sporting abaseball cap, Cadenshae breastfeed­ing hoodie and maternity tights. The appearance is her only feature in the video, which stars her lookalike Zooey Deschanel, whois abducted by aliens and mistaken for Perry.

Ellen Chisholm, theprand communicat­ions manager for the brand, told theheraldt­hatwhen owners Nikki andadamcla­rkesaw the footage they couldn’t believe it: “Both Nikki andadamwer­e in disbelief! Just so stoked!”

“Wehad absolutely no idea! We knewshe liked the gear as shewas snapped in thesamehoo­die and leggings a fewmonthsa­go, but to see her in the gear on the videowas just amazing!”

The brand sent the set to Perry but wasn’t sure she got it orwould ever wear it. However, after seeing paparazzi shots a fewmonthsa­go thesaw that not only did Perry get it, shewas wearing it.

Clearly a favourite, Perry picked the outfit for her latest music video, which has already had over

1.1 million views in less than eight hours. Since Perry first wore the set, the brand have noticed aboomin sales, “particular­ly for the hoodie and from theusmarke­t”.

The functional activewear brand hasbecomea favouritea­mongkiwi mums, founded after Nikki felt there were no activewear options she could wear while breastfeed­ing and out and about.
