Murder charge

Awoman has been charged with murder after aman's bodywas found at a north Christchurch address — the third homicide investigation this month in the Garden City. Policewere called to a property on Main North road in Papanui, just before 9.45am yesterday where aman’s bodywas found. Police said they had charged a 55-year-old womanwith murder in relation to the body. She is due to appear in Christchurch District Court today. It’s the latest in a string of violent crimes in Canterbury and comes after the death of a man who presented at Christchurch Hospital with critical injuries on New Year’s day, a double shooting at a Kaiapoi property, north of Christchurch and the homicide of Linwood resident Michael Graham.
