Lolly necklace for quiz winner

Several quizzes were enjoyed by Kaponga WI members when they met at the Hawera home of Margaret Watts. Joy Eliason and Dorothy Hughes also helped as hostesses.

Gillian Frandsen received a necklace featuring Minties for having the largest total of correct answers overall, for the quizzes.

Val Eliason had travelled from New Plymouth, Joy Eliason from Inglewood and Jo Jones from Stratford.

Gillian gave an interesting conference report, and Dorothy Hughes had lovely baby knitting for Plunket on display.

Some members had attended the Federation Craft Day, and Margaret Broomhall showed the Twiddle Muff she is currently working on.

President Dorothy Hughes urged members to take more interest in the national competitions, most of which would not be too difficult for the members.

An electric hot water jug has been bought for the Kaponga Plunket group as part of our help in the Adopt a .... (National Theme of a worthy cause, group etc).
