ELTHAM TOY LIBRARY: Located next to the Plunket Rooms High St, Eltham, 10.30am-12.30pm. Wide variety of toys for all ages.The library is a non-profit organisati­on that supplies quality big brand indoor and outdoor toys for preschoole­rs. VILLAGE GALLERY: Solo-Exhibition by Joni Murphy at the Village Gallery Eltham. Running until July 28. Open daily from 10am-3pm MondaySatu­rday. Joni will be in the Gallery every Saturday during the month, running workshops for children and adults, thanks to the support of South Taranaki Creative Communitie­s and Creative Communitie­s NZ. The morning workshop is booked up but there are still a couple of places available for the children’s afternoon workshop.

It meets every Wednesday at the Stratford Scout Den at 7.30pm. The Scout Den is on Fenton Street and the charge is $2 per night with the first night free. BADMINTON: The Midweek Ladies Badminton group needs new members. Contact Ruth Taunt 06 765 6593. It is held at the Stratford War Memorial Hall on Mondays from 10am to 12pm and costs $5. They have a toy box for littlies and there are racquets available to use and free coaching.
