1. FAMILY FUN

Take the children to the movies on Sunday August 28. Finding Dory will screen at midday at Hawera Cinema 2. Tickets are $5 each.

2. SPRING SHOW

The Hawera Horticultural Society is holding its spring flower show on Saturday September 3 at the Hawera High School Assembly Hall. Entry is $3 and children are free. Open from 12.30-5pm. Sales table plus food available.

3. KAPA HAKA FESTIVAL

Thirty groups from Taranaki primary schools will be performing at the Hub in Hawera on Friday, August 26. More on page 16.

4. BMX RESTARTS

The Hawera BMX Club nights start again at the track on High St on Wednesday August 31.

5. BIG BAND

The Rodger Fox Big Band joins forces with the NZSO in a concert at the TSB Theatre in New Plymouth on Thursday September 1, 7.30pm. With 90 musicians on stage it is sure to be a big event. Phone 0800 111 999 for tickets.
