CAKE DECORATING: How about learning some new skills in a happy friendly environmen­t? CakeArt Taranaki South meets on a monthly basis on the second Wednesday of each month at St. John’s Hall, 184 Princes Street, Hawera at 7.30pm. We are a non-profit organisati­on, operating locally but part of the New Zealand Cake Decorating Guild framework. Our low operating costs mean that our annual subscripti­on is minimal (currently $10 per annum) plus National Guild Fees. Our activities include Demonstrat­ions and Workshops which may be attended by both Guild members as well as interested persons from outside of our membership. TOY LIBRARY: Kiddylandz Toy Library Hawera. Open every Thursday 10am-noon (during the school term) and Saturdays 10.30 -11.30am in the AOG Church building, 192-194 High St. Come in for a free play or become a member and take some great toys home with you. PLAY GROUP: Our playgroup is called The Village and we offer free play based around active movement using a range of sports and creative gear for pre-schoolers. We meet every Wednesday from 9.30-11am, entry is gold coin donation. Venue: Presbyteri­an Hall Argyle Street Hawera. On the first Wednesday of every month we also host a baby wearing meet with carriers to try and hire.
