South Taranaki Star

Service satisfies Stratford

- PETRA FINER

Stratford residents are super satisfied with their little slice of paradise.

The central Taranaki-ites completed a recent customer satisfaction survey for the Stratford District Council and results showed it was considered a safe, healthy and attractive place to live.

Corporate services director Mark Weidenbohm said ‘‘the survey has provided a valuable indication of how residents view council’s performance and gives officers direction for future projects and planning’’.

With ratings of 96 per cent for attractiveness, 98 per cent for feeling safe and 96 per cent for Stratford offering a healthy lifestyle, Weidenbohm felt the results were overwhelmingly positive.

Residents also rated the services the council provides including water supply, roading, park, regulatory services, community services, the information centre, library and customer service. ’’Most of the questions asked the respondents to rate the service or activity on a scale from 1 to 10, with 1 being ‘poor’ and 10 being ’excellent’.

‘‘Overall the results were similar to last year’s survey.’’

Overall satisfaction levels were similar to 2015. A large number of additional comments were received, and these, together with the rating results, suggest that Stratford District’s residents remain reasonably satisfied.
