Grateful for upgrade contribution

-

On behalf of the Royal NZ Plunket society (Waikato), I would like to thank the Putaruru community for voting for Plunket in the opening competition at Z Putaruru.

As we currently do not have a volunteer group in Putaruru it is more difficult to raise funds without people on the ground.

The Plunket clinic building is owned by the community and maintained by volunteer efforts so it was fantastic to receive the donation from Z for $950. This will contribute to an upgrade on the muchloved Plunket clinic building in Overdale St.

Thanks again Z Putaruru for giving the Putaruru community the opportunity to continue to show its support for an organisation which has been working to give the best start for children for the last 105 years.

For $150,000 per year the pools could charge 10 cents entry fee not $4.50 an adult and make the recession pass with clean healthy exercise at the pools. This council has your letter to look forward too. Micro loans, (even if it sat in gold bullion, up 26 per cent over the year), would be a safer and productive effort. Staff have a lot to answer for advising the council to go down this path. Write now. R. Young Tokoroa grubby place with garage sale signs tied to road signs and nailed to trees; most are not taken down and remain there for some time.

Come on councillors, this is not a good look for Tokoroa.

Consider passing a bylaw to clean these places up instead of talking about the sports stadium and river trails all the time. T Dempster
