Fam­ily fun sched­uled for week­end

The last of Our Neigh­bour­hood Fri­day par­ties at the Rock Park, Glenkill Park, will be held this Fri­day, March 23, weather per­mit­ting. Join us on Fri­day night from 5.30pm to 7pm and so­cialise with your neigh­bours. There will be a sausage siz­zle, bouncy cas­tle, live mu­sic and games, all free. BOP Rugby League Car­ni­val Bay of Plenty Rugby League will be hold­ing a com­mu­nity car­ni­val this Satur­day, March 24 at Puketawhero Park in Ro­torua to pro­mote Rugby League.

The car­ni­val starts at 9am with ac­tiv­i­ties for 5- to 12-yearolds and par­ents. There will be a free break­fast, a free fun­da­men­tal skills coach­ing course, skills and drills, fam­ily ac­tiv­i­ties and games. You will also be able to meet Ruben Wiki, have your photo taken with the Rugby League World Cup, and have the chance to win tick­ets to the AN­ZAC test match.

Hash House Har­ri­ers Hash House Har­ri­ers in Toko­roa meet tonight at 6pm at the Trees Tav­ern on Man­ner­ing St and next week, March 28, at Ra’s Bar on Rose­bery St. Pu­taruru Ten­nis Club Champs Pu­taruru Ju­nior Ten­nis club cham­pi­onships will be held this Satur­day, March 24, at the Glen­shea Park ten­nis courts. Sec­ondary School Bowls Good luck to bowls teams from For­est View and Toko­roa high schools and Pu­taruru Col­lege, who will be in Hamil­ton next week for the Waikato Sec­ondary School Bowls com­pe­ti­tion. Great to see stu­dents par­tic­i­pat­ing in all sports.
