Nominees sought
Sport Waikato is looking to acknowledge 2012 sporting excellence in the region.
District Sports Awards nominations are now open till Friday October 5.
Each Waikato district will have its own awards event with category winners going forward to be considered for the prestigious Brian Perry Waikato Regional Sports Awards, to be held on Thursday, January 31.
Sport Waikato South Waikato District Co- ordinator Gilly Alexander wants each club, school and sports organisation to take the time to fill in a nomination form so that the achievements of a district can be highlighted.
The District Sports Awards events will be held in Taupo, South Waikato, Waikato, Waipa, Matamata Piako, Waitomo, Hauraki and Otorohanga – all taking place during November.

Nomination forms are also available from Sport Waikato district offices.
