Lots of activity under the sun

Don’t forget that daylight saving starts this Sunday – when you go to bed move your clocks forward an hour. I am sure we will be seeing a lot more activity around the place with longer days. Tokoroa Walking Group The Tokoroa Walking group is heading to Maungataut­ari this Sunday, September 30, for a walk. If you are interested in joining the group for this walk, meet at the Tokoroa I-site at 9am. Cost is $5 to cover carpooling expenses, for the drivers. Contact Nalda on 886 8040 for more details. Putaruru Athletics Club The Putaruru Athletics Club is holding a pre-registrati­on night tonight, September 26, from 5.30 pm. If you want your children to run faster, throw better and have fun then go along to Glenshea Park in Putaruru. The athletics club will then continue every Wednesday from 6 till 7.15 pm, even over the school holidays. Any questions please phone Hilary 882 1400. School Holiday Programmes The YMCA are holding activities for school aged children at Princess Beatrix Avenue starting from Monday, October 1.

They have a couple of great weeks planned.

The Indoor pools will be running fun activities from noon on weekdays during the school holidays. Pool entry fee applies.
