Pre-season win a great start for the Putaruru Rugby Club

Rugby season is upon us and the Putaruru Rugby Club has been hard at work preparing for the up- coming season.

The fields are mowed, the lads are into pre-season training and now it’s time to kick- off. The competition kicks off at home against Pirongia on March 23, at 1pm. The club would love to have your support this rugby season.

The first pre-season game was held on February 22, against Hinuera. The large number of spectators were treated to some fierce, running rugby as a dry track meant that both sides were there to attack, attack, attack! It was great viewing, and even better if you were a Putaruru supporter as the club came out the victors 21-5.

Players and Manage- ment would like to thank the sponsors supporting the clubwhose names are on the sponsors’ board and on the boards across the park.

Do your kids want to be the next Richard Kahui or Liam Mes- sam? Be sure to get them signed up to junior rugby. Junior rugby weigh in and registration will be held on March 16 at 10am

This year’s membership fee is $ 25 and includes a gate pass and members’ draw at all senior home games.
