Sea­son prepa­ra­tion takes cen­tre court

Or­gan­i­sa­tion for the open­ing day of the Toko­roa Net­ball Cen­tre on Satur­day, April 6 is well un­der way.

En­tries for this tour­na­ment for Se­niors, Sec­ondary and In­ter­me­di­ate teams close to­mor­row.

This will al­low the draw to be con­structed and placed on the Net­ball Cen­tre web­site in plenty of time for all teams to or­gan­ise their games for the first day of the 2013 sea­son.

All doc­u­men­ta­tion for the Toko­roa Net­ball Cen­tre is on the web­site and also at Sport Waikato of­fice in Swan­son Street. This in­cludes en­tries for all open­ing days, reg­is­tra­tion forms, in­clud­ing the Fun Ferns.

Pri­mary Com­pe­ti­tion will start on April 13. Fun Ferns start on Fri­day, April 12 at the Sports and Event Cen­tre.

Toko­roa Net­ball Cen­tre held a very suc­cess­ful An­nual Gen­eral Meet­ing re­cently with plenty of in­ter­est in the 2013 sea­son. Forty mem­bers contributed to de­ci­sion mak­ing.

Maria Te Kanawa will con­tinue as Pres­i­dent and Joyce Daniels as Vice Pres­i­dent. The Man­age­ment Group con­sist of Te Paea Riki-Pa­hewa, Leleina Tolavae, Nancy-Jo Ta­here, Ruth Natua, Nikki Cooper, Josef Brown, Taruna Petera, Christina Ogle, Dawn Ash­worth, Denise Lee, Caro­line Morunga, Colleen Bar­rett and Heather Wil­liamson. All man­age­ment mem­bers have des­ig­nated port­fo­lios to be re­spon­si­ble for dur­ing the sea­son.

Taupo, Toko­roa, Pu­taruru and Mata­mata sec­ondary school teams will take part in a com­pe­ti­tion be­tween sec­ondary schools later in May at the South Waikato Sports and Event Cen­tre.
