Work off those extra Easter calories

I hope you had a great Easter. If you ate too much chocolate and hot cross buns there are plenty of activities on to work off those extra calories.

Move it with Mandy: Mandy is now running her courses from our new premises, 43 Swanston St.

Monday: Bumz & Tumz, 9.30am. Hot Hula, 6pm.

Tuesday: Kettlebell­s, 10am. Evening Circuit, 6pm.

Wednesday: Fit for 50s, 9.30am. Sit n Be Fit, 10.30am.

Thursday: Movit Aerobics, 10am. Kettlebell­s, 6pm.

Friday: Circuit, 9am. Upright & Active, 10.30am (this class is still at Elim Church).

Strapping Course: Monday, April 8, 7pm at the Tokoroa Physiother­apy Clinic, 77 Bridge St. Cost for the course is $ 20 which covers the cost of materials. This hands-on session is aimed at coaches, managers, administra­tors and sportspeop­le. Registrati­ons are essential and places are limited. Caught being Energised: Look out for Taki and Lee taking photos of people energising in the area. They will snap a photo of you and if it appears in next week’s paper you will win a prize from one of the many sponsors helping out. Congratula­tions to Wendy Costar, this week’s winner snapped out running. Thanks to Tokoroa Community Gardens for their generosity.

Badminton: The Tokoroa Ladies Badminton Club 2013 season begins today at the South Waikato Sport & Event Centre. All new players welcome, including men. Tainui Badminton Club has also moved to the Sport & Event Centre and plays on Mondays at 7.30pm. New members welcome, $5.00. Contact Irene on 886 5328.

Active & Well – Takeaways Workshop: If you missed this workshop, Pricey and Mandy will be running a workshop this Thursday at 1pm. Free, all are welcome.

Women’s Rugby Muster: Any women interested in playing rugby, there will be a muster on Monday night at 6pm at SURF clubrooms. Contact Lee on 021 631 491.
