Principal’s door is always open

-

Tainui Full Primary School has welcomed new principal Tania Morrison into the role.

Mrs Morrison, who has worked at various Waikato schools, has picked up the mantle from departing principal Richard Lee and is enjoying being part of an ‘‘ exciting school’’.

‘‘I feel like I have been here a while,’’ Mrs Morrison said.

‘‘I have been welcomed into a vibrant atmosphere and it’s exciting.’’

Mrs Morrison said she was ready to build on Tainui Full Primary School’s already sterling reputation with exciting changes which would involve the entire school community.

‘‘It’s a shared responsibility with our main focus being on maintaining and developing quality educational opportunities for our students. Change is not about the principal implementing it, it’s about the entire school community coming on board and paving a way for our future and that is exciting.’’

Mrs Morrison has an open door policy for families in the community.

‘‘Feel free to come in and meet me and see the exciting things we do here at Tainui Full Primary School.’’

The school has a roll of 182 students between year 1 and year 8.

Mrs Morrison started her new position at the beginning of this school term.
