Exercise regime on the calendar in 2014
Welcome to 2014.
I hope everyone had a wonderful break and managed to get some exercise in along the way . . .
We certainly had a mix of weather but the sun seems to be shining at the moment so make the most of the long sunny days. Putaruru Aquacise: Aquacise will be back in Putaruru next week – January 15 at 11.30 am @ the Putaruru Pool.
Everyone is very welcome to come along and have a go. Cost is pool entry and the class runs for 45 mins – 1 hour. Active and Well Room and Movit with Mandy The Active and Well Room will reopen on Monday January 13, with Mandy’s Movit classes starting with a circuit class at 9.30am on January 13. Swimming technique clinic: Monday January 13, from 10am till 12pm at the South Waikato Indoor Pool. Open to club and casual swimmers.
Cost is pool entry and the course will be run by Chris Jolly (SportsForce Swimming) and Jo Sullivan (silver Instructor). ECHO Walking Festival This year the South Waikato will be part of the ECHO Walking Festival with walks taking place in the South Waikato from Saturday March 29, until Sunday Apri 6. All walks are guided with some easier and child friendly, with others catering for the ‘‘experienced’’ walker. Brochures are available from Sport Waikato, Waikato River Trails, and the Tirau and Tokoroa Information centre, or you can register for the walks online at echowalkfest.org.nz

Saturday March1, – 10am till 3pm. $20 per team (4 or 5 players per team) – everyone can play (able-bodied and disabled) wheelchairs provided. South Waikato Sport & Events Centre.
No experience necessary, get your friends and whanau together and meet Danny McBride – NZ Rower and NZ Wheelchair basketball champion.
