You’ll know which treats are appropriate for the ‘ thing’ you are dealing with. Sometimes you will have time, sometimes you will have money. Allocate accordingly.
Over time, the things you once didn’t want to do, may no longer be attached to bad feelings and thoughts - they may become attached to good feelings and rewards. You may even find, that you no longer need to use treats when you are faced with one of those old things. This is good news, and it shows how you can re-programme the mind and how far you have come in understanding yourself.
At the end of the day, throughout our lives we are surrounded by all sorts of people doing and telling us all sorts of things. Good, bad, supportive, destructive. All those experiences give us who we are here and now. At ANY time we can redesign, sculpt, make changes, keep the good stuff, boot out the destructive. At ANY time we can get our hands on our steering wheel and say:
