Performer returns to NZ

-

Award-winning Canadian singer-song writer Dan Bremnes will be performing a free concert in Putaruru as part of his Follow the Sun tour.

Bremnes has wowed audiences worldwide. In 2013 he was chosen as a grand prize winner of an international singing competition which featured finalists from all over the world. In the same year, he also won two awards for Male Vocalist of the Year and Music Video of the Year at the 35th annual Covenant Awards in Canada.

In 2010 he released his first full-length album Your Strength which received wide radio play in Canada and Australia.

In addition to his music, Bremnes will also share his experiences from his recent trip to Dominican Republic (one of the top 10 most dangerous places in the world) where he was able to meet his sponsor child, Wander, and gave him a guitar.

Touring with Bremnes is the award-winning Kiwi singer-song writer Strahan Coleman.

In 2014 Coleman’s debut album Posters received the Gospel Album of the Year award at the New Zealand Music Awards.

TEAR Fund events manager Gavin McCulloch said he is thrilled to bring Bremnes to New Zealand.

‘‘I’m looking forward to having Dan back in New Zealand and getting the opportunity of him touring alongside Strahan.

‘‘Both are such talented artists and gifted story tellers and their heart for the poor continues to inspire me.

‘‘This will be an exciting summer event that will be both entertaining and inspiring.’’

Both artists will hit the stage this Saturday at 7pm at the Living Springs Christian Centre on 59 Tirau St, Putaruru.

Entry is free but donations are welcome.
