BURGLARIES ON THE RISE

Tokoroa Police have attended 86 incidents with a focus on burglaries. As a result two, 17-year-old men have been arrested and charged with burglary in separate incidents.

Senior Sergeant Jason Henderson said the investigation is on-going and laying further charges have not been ruled out.

‘‘In both these instances the community assisted greatly with timely reports of suspicious behaviour and descriptions of those involved.

‘‘This is an excellent example of ‘‘Safer Communities Together’’ in action and I would like to extend my thanks to all those involved.’’
