The big­gest con­cern for po­lice at the mo­ment is the num­ber of ve­hi­cles that have been stolen and in­ter­fered with in Ti­rau. We had re­ports of sus­pi­cious be­hav­iour which led to lo­cat­ing one of two stolen ve­hi­cles. The other ve­hi­cle which is still out­stand­ing is a red Nis­san Navara ute. Fam­ily vi­o­lence num­bers re­mained high this week with 18 re­ported cases.

There were five bur­glar­ies in the Toko­roa area and a 15-yearold has been ar­rested.

Bur­glar­ies are of­ten car­ried out by young of­fend­ers and they need to re­mem­ber that these sorts of things are go­ing to have an ef­fect on their lives such as pre­vent­ing them from be­ing able to leave the coun­try.
