- SENIOR SERGEANT JASON HENDERSON Family violence

The biggest concern for police at the moment is the number of vehicles that have been stolen and interfered with in Tirau. We had reports of suspicious behaviour which led to locating one of two stolen vehicles. The other vehicle which is still outstanding is a red Nissan Navara ute. Any one with information should call 885 0100 or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Family violence numbers remained high this week with 18 reported cases.

On one hand this is a good thing as we want people to ring us before situations get out of

There were five burglaries in the Tokoroa area and a 15-yearold has been arrested.

Burglaries are often carried out by young offenders and they need to remember that these sorts of things are going to have an effect on their lives such as preventing them from being able to leave the country.

‘‘No family violence incident is acceptable and we will take action because there should be no tolerance for it.’’
