Council’s annual report ticked off
The South Waikato District Council’s external auditor Deloitte has presented the council’s Annual Report 2015-16 audit.
The Council was provided a clean audit report with some minor improvements noted.

Former mayor Neil Sinclair said he was again pleased with the good audit report.
‘‘In all the years I have been mayor the council has always received a sound audit report. This gives us as elected members, surety of our financial state and that staff are following the law and acting appropriately,’’ he said.
Auditors reviewed infrastructural assets, rates, expenditure, policy and legislative compliance, checking delegations policy has enough detail, and IT controls.
