Dedication of Customer Service Team awarded
Good customer service goes a long way and that philosophy has been mastered by the South Waikato District Council’s Putaruru Customer Services Team.
The Putaruru Customer Services Team received the Service to the Community award at the Putaruru Business Awards recently.
The team was up against 16 others and four finalists.
The council’s community group manager Sam Marshall said it was good to see the hard work of the team recognised.
‘‘It’s really pleasing to hear that the Putaruru Customer Services Team has been recognised for their service role in the community,’’ he said.

the context of business awards and the council is often considered to be outside the traditional business world.’’
Marshall commended the team on its ‘‘well-deserved accolade’’, acknowledging their sense of achievement and their commitment to providing the highest levels of service to the community.
Chief executive Craig Hobbs also expressed his support.
‘‘I was very proud of the team. It is fantastic that the community recognises the great work they all do,’’ he said.
