I’m back after a week of exploring the Cook Islands, but alas, our South Waikato reporter Luke Kirkeby is now off on a well-deserved break.

That will not impact the newspaper thankfully as we have the most local of Tokoroa locals - Tamara Thorn - on deck to cover everything that is happening in the region.

She has already hit the ground running with an amazing story on page 4 that you really need to read.

This week, we have oodles of great content to keep everyone happy. We have the two young sisters on page 3 who are helping out the hungry, while on page five we have retailers who are less than happy about the loss of car parks on Leith Place.

On page 6 we look at a woman who has helped guide the parents of more than 200 babies through a very successful parenting journey.
