We would like to thank everyone in our community who supported our recent quiz night.

To all the people who bought tickets and came along — thank you. Without your presence the night wouldn’t have been so much fun. To all those who helped run the night and provide the supper, thank you. Through your efforts we would have been lost. Finally, to all our sponsors . . . thank you each and every one of you for all you have and donated. Together we raised a total of $7100 which will all go to the Midhirst School Board of Trustees to use as needed within the school.

The mystery auction was a great success and we hope everyone was pleased with the contents of the envelopes they bid on. MIDHIRST SCHOOL FUNDRAISING COMMITTEE. The Stratford Runners and Walkers Club is celebrating its

40th Anniversary on Saturday, July 14 with a fun day followed by an evening meal.

Old signs taken off buildings have just been dumped and left to rot along with various other detritus and rubbish.

Surely someone is responsible for cleaning this up? It makes the area look dirty and uncared for and probably attracts all sorts of rats and other vermin to nest in the mess. I think the people responsible should be fined or held liable for the cost of cleaning their mess up. Come on, let’s work together to keep our town looking nice.
