Paul Tidswell scored 99.6, 99.5 and 97.5 while Garry Rowlands managed a 99.6 and 95.3 on May
28. Behind them was Alan Drake recording two 97.5 scores. Also in the 97-club were Clare Bramley
97.4, Brian Hicks 97.3 and 96.3, as well as Murray Chinery with 97.3 and 90.1.
Bob Bramley shot well with scores of 96.1, 95.3 and 93.0 as did Don Litchfield with 952 and 96.4. The club’s junior shooters are continuing improvement each week with Boston Taylor scoring
96.3, 91.1 and 89.1, Henry Armond
93.1 and 94.3. Keely Burnell followed her 100 group card with
84.1, 92.4 and 89.2.
A battle of the 98s arose between Murray Chinery and Clare Bramley on June 1. Murray’s shooting has been improving and his scores were
94.3 and 98.7. Clare then shot an equalling 98.7 followed by 98.8. There was a 97-club with Paul Longstaff shooting two consistent
97.4s and a 95.4, while Bob Bramley shot 97.3 and 95.1. Alan Drake 95.4, 93.2, Stephen Hicks

During Queen’s Birthday Weekend was the annual competition shoot at Awahuri, which this year was held at Colyton. A small contingent of Eltham shooters went to this shoot and Bob Bramley was placed second in C-grade while Boston Taylor was only just pipped out of third place in D-grade by just two points.
