The FBT Ravensdown Colts Rugby Team won against Inglewood on Saturday, 30-10.

Streltham started out well and scored out wide in the first seven minutes after some great buildup work.

The try was converted for a 7-0 lead. Streltham’s defence was strong, thwarting any opportunities by keeping themselves inside Inglewood’s half for long periods. Streltham was rewarded with penalties resulting in a score 10m out from the posts unconverted 12-0.

From the restart Streltham got back into Inglewood’s 2,2 receiving another penalty in front. Cully got the kick over, taking the lead 15-0. Inglewood came back getting a try out wide just before halftime, 15-5 at the break.

Streltham had to absorb a lot of pressure in the first 10 minutes of the second half as Inglewood came out firing, Streltham held them out but it took a while for things to settle with both sides giving away penalties. Streltham ran in another two well-worked tries for a 25-5 lead. Streltham ran in one more try to take the win. This week Streltham takes on Tukapa at home.
