German second division club FC St. Pauli have unveiled a hellish new look to the tunnel at their Millerntor Stadium, with a hazy mix of red lighting and the club’s traditiona­l skull and crossbones logo to greet players before kick off. To add to the terrifying imagery, graffiti and slogans like ‘welcome to hell’ and ‘I will’ have been scribbled on to the black walls to send shivers down the spines of even the hardest footballer­s. Players also have to come face to face with the scary prospect of walking towards a skull and crossbones before they enter the field, with the haunting image changing shape and colour the further you walk down the tunnel.
