Belgium and Holland’s men’s hockey teams had a glorious answer to another cock-up by Olympic organisers in Rio when neither of their anthems would play before their semifinal.

With a failing public address system, first Holland, then Belgium belted out their respective national anthems without any musical backing, before Belgium progressed to the final with a 3-1 victory.
