MESSAGE TO ME

We asked a group of prominent Kiwis to write letters to their future selves, a year down the line, to detail their goals, dreams and words of wisdom on how they are going to achieve them.

OH, g’day there 2019 Brodie,

This is your inspirational 2018 version. I think they just get better as the years go on, so hopefully by 2019 you will have reached an absolute peak. After the holidays you would have gotten back onto your healthy eating plan and shaved off a couple more kegs. Loving life in Christchurch. It would have been an amazing, amazing year in the city, watching it grow and watching all the new bars and restaurants open.

You would have had an awesome year in your new job in radio with the wonderful Fitzy on the Fitzy and Brodie Show. I dare say, we will have the whole city listening to that radio show every morning. We would have wiped out all the other stations. That’s sort of a slow burner over the year.

I reckon you would have had an awesome holiday, probably in Bali because that’s where you go every year. Will Jo Kane (aka mum) come? Yes, she probably will. Will we drink many Bintangs? Yes, we will.

But most of you will enjoy the wonderful year, surrounded by friends and family, because that’s what it’s all about.

Na mihi 2019. WHAT’S up, Naz.

2018 has been your best year yet. You have been smashing heaps of goals but also on the way, helping many, and I am talking thousands, smash their goals too. Helped empower them, taught them to be a wolf, and also never to fear judgment from anyone. You know why? Because it is so important to be your true self and to truly be happy as well. So many have life goals – buying a business, buying a house, having a family, which is fair enough, but you Naz – your number one goal this year was to be happy and girlfriend, you smashed it. And along the way, you helped thousands.

Keep it real baby.
