The Oscar-winning music from Star Wars has been closely guarded for 40 years. Now, as part of the New Zealand Arts Festival, the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra will perform the music of Star Wars: A New Hope for a live screening of the original film, led by conductor Hamish McKeich. I’ll be conducting the NZSO performing live with film, Star Wars: A New Hope, the original.

It will be performed in March in Wellington as part of the New Zealand Festival. It’s got ‘‘epic’’ written all over it.

Just before that, I have an NZSO Summer Pops tour around the country with major amazing film music, including Star Wars. An enlivening Garage Project beer followed by a fine Grand Cru Burgundy.
