Why it’s always a good day with The Wiggles
Monty Milne, 6, reviews The Wiggles at the Aotea Centre in Auckland yesterday.
The Wiggles are hilariously funny and they’ve got to be the best kids’ singers in the universe!
I was super-pleased to see all the characters Dorothy the Dinosaur, Wags the Dog, Henry the Octopus, Captain Feathersword, a giant teddy bear, the Wiggles – Emma, Lachie, Simon and Anthony and even for a special occasion the Brown Wiggle, Robbie Rakete!
My favourite is Anthony, the Blue Wiggle, because my favourite colour is blue and I like guitars and he plays the guitar and wears blue. My heart just leapt out of my skin when I saw them on stage.
I didn’t sit on my seat much because I was too busy dancing to Do the Propeller, Have a Good Day, The Twist, Wiggle Town, Hot Potato, Follow the Leader, Say the Dance, Do the Dance. Everyone danced to Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.
I loved them up close, it was all I could really wish for. I’ve been listening to them ever since I was three. This was the best show.
I went with my mum. There were

lots of other parents and grandparents and caregivers with their children. There were heaps of people because I looked around and there was, like, 5222 people there and I could only see one empty chair.
My favourite part was Captain Feathersword and Anthony zapping each other with ‘‘thank yous’’.
They’d say ‘‘thank you’’ and point at each other and each time they’d nearly topple backwards, waving their arms around and in the end they did topple backwards and then Anthony gave Captain Feathersword one last thank you zap and Captain Feathersword went spinning around on his bottom!
