Venus in final

Tennis: Kiwi Michael Venus has advanced to his sixth ATP doubles final this year. Venus and Croatian partner Mate Pavic, the top seeds at the Gstaad ATP tournament in Switzerland, yesterday beat Indian pair Purav Raja and Divu Sharan 3-6, 7-6 (4), 10-2. The closely contested match took just over 90 minutes and was won through the ability of Venus and Pavic to win the vital tiebreak points. Venus and Pavic have already won titles in Auckland, Montpellier, Marseille and ’s-Hertogenbosch this year, while they also finished runnerup in Nice.
