Getting there:

Fly Jetstar to Bali, via Sydney. Even thought this means a quick layover in Sydney, the next leg is on Jetstar’s Dreamliner – which is fabulous. Check Jetsar.com for offers with fares to Bali starting from less than $600 return per person during sales.

Staying there: Alila Resorts

Alila Villas Uluwatu – internet rate US$800-plus ($1090) per night for one bedroom pool villa. Alila Seminyak – internet rate US$335plus a night for Deluxe Ocean Suite. The villas are pretty pricey but spectacular and there were quite a few Kiwis staying there when I went.

Devi’s Place
