NIGHT NURSE: The ninth at Riverton is shorter than her best but weight, draw and class edge in her favour. OTAGO-SOUTHLAND – Mac Henry DELIGHT N GOLD: Sprinted wide to sit parked at Winton, got cover but nowhere to go in straight. DELIGHTFUL JAY: Worked hard wide on solid pace at Forbury, sat parked and effort told. Too good to drop. A SMART EXCUSE: Had good trip early at Forbury but held up leaving the back. Ran home well. GREYHOUNDS – Peter Earley JIMMY’S ROCKET: Missed qualifying for NZ Derby, back to grade racing Thursday, hard to catch in fourth. SIMPLE AND PLAIN: Beat strong field over 457m on Thursday, can do the same over 375m this Thursday. VIDEO WATCH – Murray Wedlake KILLARNEY: Finished fast but much too late at Te Rapa after having traffic problems in the straight. LAAFFAIRE: Lost a lot of ground with a poor start at Riccarton and did very well to finish a close fourth. FULLINBLOO­M: Was extremely game in defeat at Pukekohe as she covered ground from her wide draw.
