Getting there:

From New Zealand, the best way to get to Mount Isa is to fly to Brisbane and get a connecting flight, which takes around two hours and 40 minutes. Qantas and Virgin offer daily services on this route.

Staying there:

There are plenty of options in Mount Isa, ranging from motels to boutique hotels. The Burke and Wills Motel, on Camooweal St, offers good rates, room service and dining.
