FastPass tactics

-

You’re only allowed one FastPass per park at a time, which means you can have one at each. Your first pass should be the most popular ride – currently that’s the new Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: Breakout! attraction in California Adventure Park. Plan to grab a FastPass there first. Check the ticket: sometimes you can get a second FastPass early. The next most popular ride at California Adventure is Radiator Springs Racers, which has to be seen to be believed. You can also grab a Pass for World of Color, which isn’t part of the FastPass digital system, next to the Springs FastPass kiosk. Then immediately head to Disneyland, barely a minute away, and grab a pass for your top pick there. Indiana Jones or Space Mountain are good places to start – their lines tend to be longest as the day rolls on. Then organise to meet at the Matterhorn Luge, which should still have a shortish wait – you can ride it before your first FastPass ride at California Adventure comes up.

You can get a new FastPass as soon as the two-hour window for your current pass starts. So if you have a pass for Indiana Jones at 11am, as soon as it turns 11am, you can dash and get a FastPass for Space Mountain, then go back and get in the FastPass line for Indiana Jones. Disneyland, you’re doing it right!

You might not need to FastPass these classic rides because their queues often move fast and are often under 15 minutes: Big Thunder Mountain, Haunted Mansion and Jungle Cruise.

Single rider lines are often super short. You’ll have to split from your group, but this is a good option if you want to have a second go on a ride, or you’re waiting for a FastPass time.
