Lee improves

Golf: Danny Lee has improved 29 places to be in contention after two rounds of the Travellers Championship on the US PGA tour. The Kiwi fired a three-under 67 on a windy afternoon in Cromwell, Connecticut, to be fiveunder overall and in a tie for eighth, three shots behind leader Jordan Spieth. Lee made a hot start after beginning his round on the 10th and had birdies at his third, fourth, sixth and seven holes (the 12th, 13th, 15th and 16th) which had him as high as fourth at one stage. However, bogeys on his 12th and 16th holes (the 3rd and 7th) knocked him back before he righted the round again with a birdie at his last hole.
