Plywood worries ministry

The Ministry of Education has raised concerns with the Building Research Association of New Zealand over the use of fire-resistant plywood in the construction of schools. The Sunday Star-Times revealed last week that samples of Decortech Firesafe Radiata Plywood were found to be much less flame-resistant than advertised. The product is understood to have also been used in hospitals, airports and homes.
