Most FM sauce of the week!

This week the Sauce literally went out to blow the cobwebs off on Sunday in the huge winds New Plymouth was experiencing. This included a quick climb up Paritutu (safe on the climb but heaps of wind on top), then getting soaked at the breakwater, and then continuing on a drive to Waiwhakaiho. And it was out here that the Sauce checked out the ‘‘Rotoz’’ bike jump park, just at the entrance to Lake Rotomanu. The Sauce was completely impressed with the obviously HUGE amount of work that has gone into developing this bike park with the wicked jumps and features that have all been built by hand, spade, wheelbarrow etc. There are even learner bumps in varying heights so you can work your way up to the real thing. Rotoz, combined with the new MTB tracks at Mangamahoe and the awesome Velodrome complex soon to include a BMX track at Bell Block, plus the coastal walkway, must make Taranaki one of the country’s best bike destinations??!!
