No mooning

Mooning is now explicitly outlawed in Victoria but it’s a bit cheeky to call it an entirely new offence. Those who publicly display their backside potentially face up to two months’ jail for a first offence and six months jail for repeat exhibitions. ‘‘It’s always been an offence. All we’ve done is separate indecent exposure (eg mooning) from sexual exposure (eg flashing),’’ Victorian Attorney-General Martin Pakula said yesterday.
